About NAYANATARA: Diana Mariam Kurien, favor known by her call name Nayanthara, is a South Indian actress,
who has acted in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu movies. Nayanthara was born into a
Orthodox Syrian Christian family, in Tiruvalla, Pathanamthitta District,
Kerala.Her parents Kurian Kodiyattu and
Omana Kurian who hail from Tiruvalla, Kerala.Her brother, Leno, who is nine years
elder to her, lives in Dubai.As her father was an Indian Air Force official.
Beginning life: Nayanatara
did her schooling at different areas of India (Kerala and Tamil Nadu). She joined
Balikamadom High School, Thiruvalla for +2, next joined Marthoma college in
Thiruvalla for her Bachelor's degree (English Literature). She made her acting
debut with 2003 Malayalam film Manassinakkare. She first appeared in Tamil
cinema with Ayya and later featured in the commercially successful movie
Ghajini.
After she debut into Tollywood industry with the film Lakshmi co-star
actor Victory Venkatesh. Then several bloc blasters hits such as Chandramukhi, Billa,
Ghajini, Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Mayuri.
Nayantara has established herself as one of the most promising, sought-after actresses
of South India.Next proved her charm in Telugu films. She then acted in several
films like Tulasi, Dubai Seenu, Adurs, Simha and more. Her portrayal of Lord
Sita Devi in Sri Rama Rajyam (2011) earned her Filmfare Award for Best Telugu
Actress and Nandi Award for Best Actress. She hasn’t dreamt for acting and if
she would not be an actor. During
her college days, she worked as a part-time model. In her leisure, she loves to
go to long drive to new and natural places.
